Biografie:
Born in Osaka, Japan, Sekitani’s colorful collages are a distorted examination of elements of the human body. Sekintani’s work is grotesque, yet psychedelic. In a press release commenting on his subject matter, Sekintani is quoted as saying, “I use pictures of bowels because they have such beautiful colors. My artwork doesn’t mean anything more than how it looks.”
Sekintani is especially popular in Europe, where the artist has been exhibiting as part of an underground art scene for nearly 20 years.
